Garda Belts:Head Trauma

Featured RollerGirl, September 2005: Head Trauma’s dedication to the league has been tireless. For over a year now, she has worked day, night, and weekends (hell, probably even in her sleep!) to form this league and work to get it to where we are today. There couldn’t be a more fitting person to honor with our first Featured Minnesota RollerGirl since without Head Trauma, there wouldn’t be any Minnesota RollerGirls. Head Trauma, we thank you for all you’ve done and for giving us this great thing to be a part of.

More dirt about yourself: She grew up knocking her siblings around since she could hold a rattle. When she held her sister down and shoved a bean up her nose, her mama knew she was gonna have her hands full. After playing hockey, Head Trauma decided the sport was too ho hum with all the padding and a stupid stick; Where's the fun if you can't feel the pain, right? With a taste for blood and bruises.

Head Trauma formed the Minnesota RollerGirls in Aug. 2004 when the local all-women's rugby league didn't have the balls to engage her during the sport. All it took was a few good ass whoopings and several bottles of liquor to get her sisters to join to do all the dirty work – help recruit women for the league.
