Featured RollerGirl, February 2006: It would be hard to imagine a better choice for a featured Dagger Doll than Dixxxie Wrect. This insanely dedicated RollerGirl has been around since the beginning. Her tenacity at practice has taken her from barely being able to stand on eight wheels to being a blocking threat to all. She's consistently been one of the most dedicated girls and shows up at nearly every practice and event.

In addition to her amazing work ethic and attitude on the rink, Dixxxie Wrect has been an integral part of getting the league up and running and keeping it going. She handles all, and we mean ALL, of the printed matter that the league deals with. She coordinates the screen-printed poster designs, she does our amazing business cards and flyers, and she comes up with the whitty writing you see in our materials including our bout programs. Dixxxie, your Dolls couldn't love you more.

More dirt about yourself: Most girls grow up with nice names like Sue or Besty. Not our little Miss. Dixxxie. While other derby-divas had to search for their Name, Dixxxie was blessed with a bad-ass name at birth. “Hey, I had it tough in grade school, but my sister, Halfie had it worse” Dixxxie cackles as she whips out her driver’s license to prove that yes, her birth name is indeed “Dixxxie Wrect”.

Dixxxie met her best friend, Ivanna Stiffy, in kindergarten. Even then they knew, they’d have each other’s backs for life. “We started knocking cocky little boys around and stealing their toys as far back as I can remember. We’d work together with the other boy-hating girls as a pack, taking even the thugliest of 7th graders down in a matter of minutes.”, Dixxxie reminisces as she laces up her blood-speckled skates. Pretty soon it became evident that you just didn’t mess with Wrect and Stiffie.

Today Dixxxie skates in memory of her beloved childhood friend, and for all girls who love and remember a young and spunky Stiffie.
