Our refs don't only officiate our bouts, they also attend nearly every practice to keep up their skating skills and to assist with timing drills and monitoring scrimmages. In fact, our refs have strong skating backgrounds from past stints as junior pro hockey players, quad speed skaters, and as former rollergirls.
